Holden House 1902 Bed and Breakfast Inn, a beautifully restored Victorian inn, opens the season with pre-Christmas discount specials to delight even Scrooge himself.
New to Colorado Springs this year is a real ice rink in Downtown Colorado Springs’ Acacia Park, just a mile from Holden House and open seven days a week from November 23-January 5. The rink is a collaborative effort between the City of Colorado Springs Parks, Recreation, & Cultural Services Department and Downtown Colorado Springs. Admission is $5 per skater Monday–Thursday, and $6 per skater Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Skaters may bring their own skates, or rent for $3.
Live music, food vendors, and Santa are scheduled throughout the skating season. Military Mondays, sponsored by Classic Homes, and College Tuesdays provide discounts on admission with valid military or student ID. Other fun promotions including costume skate sessions and a date night are also scheduled. The rink is also available for corporate skating events.
“So many people have memories of ice skating at the holidays,” said Susan Edmondson, President of Downtown Partnership. “Ice skating, music, hot chocolate, shopping, and Santa! It’s a great way to spend an afternoon and create new holiday traditions.”
Holden House is offering a “Weekend Warmer” package that includes Sunday night free when you stay a Friday and Saturday night at regular rate or the Pre-Christmas weekday special at only $99 per night for stays of two or more nights.
