Vic the Elk recently grazed at Holden House
The life-size fiberglass elk, owned by Experience Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak, is working his way around the Pikes Peak region. First stop on the historic Westside was Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast. Vic, so named for "Visitor Information Center" previously graced the grounds of the Cripple Creek Heritage Center and Experience Colorado Springs at Pikes Peak Convention and Visitor's Bureau, just in time for last year's December's Festival of Lights. Vic the elk then landed in the front yard of Holden House 1902 Bed & Breakfast in the Old Colorado City area of Colorado Springs. He grazed at Holden House through April and has now headed out to pasture at another local B&B. The hand painted elk features Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak, the Julie Penrose fountain, Colorado columbines and more area icons. Look for Vic around the Pikes Peak Area this summer!
